Next Feature Film in Development

(Eric Dooley as Jim Webber, a man with a story to tell)

Had the opportunity to begin putting together a pitch trailer and deck for what (we hope) will be our next feature. It's a strange idea revolving around the old tropes of alien visitation and abduction, but we have a very specific take on it that (as far as I know) has never been done.

It's also set in 1978, 1982, and 1992. I swore I'd never do another period piece, but the idea was just too interesting to pass on and, unlike other period pandering nostalgia works, this one is a bit more critical and less rose-tinted.

The scene we shot was meant to demonstrate the idea to potential investors and show off the odd mix of humor and tension. It was also nice to reunite a lot of the talent behind Cry For The Bad Man and a chance to work with a few new-comers that we'd been admiring from a distance for a while now.

Not sure how much of this will be made public since it's really just a demonstration of the idea and not exactly a short film, so here are some stills.

(Scott Peeler as John Webber, skeptical of his brother's tales)
(Tripp Turner as Tim Armstrong, a neurotic friend and reluctant witness)
(Pete Taylor as David Mack, a hypnotherapist with questionable methods)
(Jonathan Shepard as Budd Fowler, a disgraced and oft-mocked researcher with something to prove)

(Julie Harrington as Trish Webber, Jim's wife and greatest defender)

(David Herringer, in makeup by Jeh Howell as an Alien, or is it in Jim's head? Does it matter?)
